Shawn & Dave

ABOUTDAYLIGHT

Since 2002, Daylight has been creating compelling Web sites and interactive applications for some of the better Northwest and national brands. Partners Shawn Mann and David McReynolds work with each client to develop strategies that serve business needs, powered by the software, technology and media required.

Each of the contributors to the Daylight team serve in distinctly specialized roles, handling all aspects of their respective areas. This ensures every Daylight project is managed efficiently and produced seamlessly, from concept through launch.

Shawn Mann

Founder & Creative Services

Since founding Daylight in 2002, Shawn Mann has led the studio’s design practice, client services, and creative strategy. He works to make sure that the brands and people who work with Daylight get what they want, understand what they need, and are happy with the results. In addition to the work, Shawn enjoys asserting his creative leadership as resident office DJ, playing guitar and casually dropping movie quotes into everyday conversations. He lives in Portland with his wife, three sons, four chickens and a dog named Indy.

David McReynolds

Partner & Development Services

David McReynolds leads Daylight’s interface design and application development services. He’s been working in Web application design and Web development for more than 10 years. David’s specialty is creating elegant Web interfaces for e-commerce, content management, learning management and online selection/catalog systems. When he’s not working, he plays basketball and pretends to golf. He lives in Portland with his wife, two little girls and a dog named Avery.

CONTRIBUTORS

Kyle Wukawitz

Senior Developer / System Administrator

Kyle Wukawitz contributes to Daylight client work by engineering software code and developing web applications. His expertise covers several programming languages and IT skills, which he brings as necessary to each client project. He’s been working in software development for nearly 10 years and is finishing a degree in computer science. After work, Kyle enjoys weightlifting (lifting his children) and running (chasing his children). He lives in Vancouver with his family.

Piet van Zoen

Web Developer

Piet van Zoen develops Daylight designs into high-functioning websites using a combination of programming experience and years of work with Legos. We think the Legos are why he excels at creating clear site structure and elegant code. Originally from England, Piet now calls Portland home, after visiting two years ago and meeting the woman who became his wife. He drinks tea, not coffee, and knows how to make a perfect boiled egg. When he’s not working, he enjoys Portland’s music scene and plays bass and drums.

Jonathan Lee

Web Developer

Jonathan Lee designs and develops Daylight sites with a craftsman’s touch and an artist’s eye. He specializes in bringing new custom functionality to client projects using the FUEL content management system. Before bringing his talents to Daylight, Jonathan spent more than 10 years developing for clients such as Intel, Oregon Children’s Theater, the City of Los Angeles and ReachLocal. When he’s not working, he explores Portland’s incredible food cart scene by bicycle and loves being with his family.
