This week we finally took the leap and released FUEL CMS into the wild.
Admittedly, it’s pretty scary to open up a large body of work for other people to dissect and critique especially after spending hundreds of hours working on it. However, we knew that in order for it to grow and mature the way we envisioned, it would need to expand beyond our small web development shop for others to test and contribute.
It’s been a while since our initial announcement regarding our CodeIgniter content management system, FUEL CMS. However, we’ve been making some steady progress fixing bugs, adding some features and creating the ever important documentation. Some of the biggest strides we’ve made have been in the form of a new User Guide and a Tester module.
Daylight member extraordinaire Kyle, and his wife added a healthy baby girl to their family yesterday. Mikayla Kenneday Wukawitz made her Hello World! debut weighing in at 7lbs 1oz. That makes three little girls now for the Wukawitz’s! Kyle is a full-time student, full-time worker and will now be working overtime as full-time Dad. Congratulations Kyle and family.
Over the last couple of years, we’ve been gradually developing our own platform that we use for developing our client’s websites and it’s based on the popular CodeIgniter PHP framework. This post will give you a brief history, some insight into our reasoning behind creating this CodeIgniter CMS, explain what it is and provide a few highlights of the platform.
